Important: The workout, breathing, and wellness content in Cronologix is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a physician before starting any exercise or breathing program.
1. Not Medical Advice
The workout, breathing, and wellness content in Cronologix—including built-in templates, user-created workflows, and any instructions or guidance—is for informational and educational purposes only.
This content does not constitute medical advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with qualified healthcare professionals.
Cronologix is a timer application, not a medical device or healthcare provider. We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.
2. Consult Your Physician
Before beginning any exercise, breathing, or wellness program, you should consult with a qualified healthcare provider. This is especially important if you:
- Have any cardiovascular condition (heart disease, high or low blood pressure, arrhythmia)
- Have any respiratory condition (asthma, COPD, or breathing difficulties)
- Have any neurological condition (epilepsy, history of seizures, fainting)
- Are pregnant or nursing
- Have recently had surgery or a medical procedure
- Are taking any medications
- Have diabetes or blood sugar regulation issues
- Have any chronic health condition
- Are over 40 and have been physically inactive
- Have any musculoskeletal injuries or conditions
3. Listen to Your Body
Stop any activity immediately if you experience:
- Chest pain or pressure
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Shortness of breath beyond normal exertion
- Nausea or vomiting
- Pain in joints, muscles, or bones
- Heart palpitations or irregular heartbeat
- Fainting or near-fainting
- Severe headache
- Blurred vision
- Any unusual or concerning symptoms
If symptoms persist, seek medical attention immediately.
4. High-Intensity Exercise Warning
Certain templates in Cronologix involve high-intensity physical exercise, including but not limited to:
- Tabata Classic - Maximum effort interval training
- HIIT Workout - High-intensity interval training
- EMOM 10 - Every minute on the minute training
These workouts are designed for individuals who are already physically active and in good health. They involve:
- Maximum or near-maximum physical exertion
- Rapid heart rate elevation
- Significant cardiovascular stress
- Repetitive high-impact movements
If you are new to exercise, have been inactive, or have any health concerns, start with lower-intensity activities and gradually build up. Consider working with a certified fitness professional to ensure proper form and appropriate intensity levels.
5. Breathing Exercises Warning
Certain templates involve controlled breathing techniques that may affect your cardiovascular and nervous system, including:
- Box Breathing - Breath retention technique (4-4-4-4 pattern)
- Relaxing Sleep Breath - Extended breath holds (4-7-8 pattern)
- Physiological Sigh - Controlled breathing pattern
These techniques may cause:
- Lightheadedness or dizziness
- Tingling sensations in extremities
- Temporary changes in blood pressure
- In rare cases, fainting
Important Safety Guidelines for Breathing Exercises:
- Always practice while seated or lying down safely
- NEVER practice in or near water (pools, bathtubs, ocean)
- NEVER practice while driving or operating machinery
- NEVER practice while standing where falling could cause injury
- Stop immediately if you feel unwell and return to normal breathing
- Do not practice if you have epilepsy, are prone to seizures, or have uncontrolled blood pressure
Extended breath holds (as in Relaxing Sleep Breath) should only be practiced by healthy adults who fully understand the risks involved. If you feel uncomfortable at any time, return to normal breathing immediately.
6. Physical Activity and Stretching
Templates involving physical movement, such as Morning Stretch, carry inherent risks including:
- Muscle strains or pulls
- Joint injuries
- Falls or loss of balance
Always:
- Move slowly and controlled
- Skip or modify any movement that causes pain
- Use support (wall, chair) for balance exercises
- Warm up before intense stretching
7. User-Created and Customized Workflows
Cronologix allows you to create custom workflows and modify existing templates to suit your needs. When creating or customizing workflows, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for ensuring any custom workout, breathing, or wellness routine is appropriate for your health status and fitness level
- The same health and safety warnings that apply to built-in templates apply equally to any workflows you create or modify
- Cronologix cannot verify the safety or appropriateness of user-created content
- If you share custom workflows with others, you assume responsibility for any risks associated with that content
- Modifying timer durations, intensities, or exercise parameters may increase risk—always err on the side of caution
- The "Clone and customize" feature is provided for personalization, not to circumvent safety guidelines
When in doubt about a custom workflow's safety, consult a qualified healthcare or fitness professional before use.
8. Assumption of Risk
By using Cronologix workout, breathing, or wellness templates—or by creating your own custom workflows—you acknowledge and agree that:
- Physical exercise and breathing techniques carry inherent risks of injury or adverse health effects
- You voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities
- You are solely responsible for determining whether any exercise or breathing technique is appropriate for your health status and fitness level
- You are responsible for performing exercises with proper form and technique
- You will stop any activity that causes pain or discomfort
- You will seek medical attention when appropriate
